Link To New Artist Spotlight Playlists:

1. Tell us a little about where you are from and what you are currently doing.

I'm from the Philippines. Currently, my band just do studio recordings as we are tied up with other personal activities that will prevent us from touring

2. What inspired you to start playing and making music?

The band and the music of the 70s. They were so great for me that I wanted to be like them when I grow up.

Also, I grew up watching one of my elder brother and a young uncle jam every afternoon. They both play the guitar and sing well. That made me interested in learning how to play the guitar. I was around 4 that time. When I was in my early teens, my brother introduced my to rock music and that led the way for me to start learning how to do guitar solos.

𝟯. Who are your biggest influences?

The Beatles, CSN&Y, America, The Eagles, Neil Young, and some other bands in the '70s. But I shifted from secular music to Christian music, and most of my music was influenced by Paul Baloche, Darrell Evans, Jars of Clay, Audio Adrenaline, and Switchfoot, to name a few.

4. What are your goals in the music industry?

The goal of my band is to simply spread God's message of Love, Hope, Faith, and Salvation through music. Whatever we earn from this, we give to some charitable institutions here in the country. We haven't earned that big yet, but a little goes a long, long way.

5. Tell us about your creative process when you make new music.

Being the songwriter of the group, everything starts with me. Once I have completed writing the song and have some ideas on how it should sound, we talk about the musical arrangement. We have a day or two to think of our individual parts and then have a final discussion before we go to the studio and start recording. Sometimes, we have a last-minute change if we feel that it is really needed.

6. What is your all-time favorite song?

In My Life by The Beatles. The lyrics and melody

7. What is the best advice or council you have either given or received in terms of music?

If you encounter a roadblock when writing a song, don't stop. Because whatever action you take, will be your usual habit. And I find that really effective for me.

8. Proudest accomplishment?

In terms of music, being able to write a lot of songs, and some of them were recognized and being used by our church organization globally.

In terms of career, being able to work at some known and good multinational companies gave me the opportunity to raise my family

9. What is something about you that might surprise someone who knows you the best?

Well, some people who just know me in the IT Industry might be surprised that I am a musician. And probably won't see it in my looks.

Some might also be surprised to know that I was once a college professor.

𝟭0. Tell us about your highest and lowest points in music so far.

Every achievement I have in music brings me to cloud nine. But the lowest point probably is when you don't get the support you need from friends and relatives, but then get more from people I don't even know.
