𝟭. Where are you from and what is your hobby?

My name is actually Terry Donohue. I write the lyrics and music and play all the instruments, with the exception of drums which I usually get my Brother or Nephew to do.

I grew up in Scarborough (a suburb of Toronto, Canada) . I now live in Newmarket which is smaller town just north of Toronto. Obviously music, but I also enjoy Golf, and as a typical Canadian boy Hockey!!

𝟮. How did your get into music?

I got hooked in the early to Mid Seventies, after first listening to the debut Rush Album. I had to learn guitar and I started lessons around 10 or 11 years old. I eventually progressed enough to start leaning how to play by my favourite artists/bands by ear. I then had a 3 three piece band in Grade 8 and we played a few tunes in the gym to the other classes.

𝟯. Who are your biggest influences?

My Mom and Dad, were awesome , so supportive and always allowing my Brother and I to Jam and Crank it up !! We almost always had to bands playing at our home growing , either mine or my Brother as he was the drummer. My musical influences are Rush, Black Sabbath , Ozzy, pretty much any hard Rock genre.

4. What are your goals in the music industry?

My goals are to continue writing and playing while my fingers still let me. Also to challenge myself to get better and better....

5. If you could choose a location to perform at, what would it be?

I would have to say the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, ( where the Leafs and Raptors play). Originally it would have been the old Marple Leaf Gardens ( in Toronto ) where I saw Rush four times, April Wine, Black Sabbath, Ted Nugent, and Yes.

6. What is your all-time favorite song?

that's a really tough one to be honest ...so many steal my heart. I still love Dream Weaver by Gary Wright

7. Most embarrassing moment?

I was playing a live gig at a small bar outside of Toronto and we had a pretty tight and heavy, loud band !! When my shining moment came for me to wail on the lead , I stomped on my Wah pedal ..only to find SILENCE ...not a damn sound came out of my amp, the battery was dead in the pedal. I spent the next 5 minutes on the stage floor in the dark trying to replace a 9 volt battery to get back into action...ugly !!

8. Proudest accomplishment?

I'd had to say meeting the love of my life as teenage sweethearts. I was 18 she was 17 , we dated for 10 years before getting married (I know long time right...) . We have two Boys , 23 and 20, both really proud of them . Family is always first for me and I guess I lucked out.

9. What is something about you that might surprise someone who knows you the best?

Although I am outgoing and usually known as the "Life" of the party... I do enjoy and "require" quiet times for reflection and recharging the batteries...( no not the 9 volt type) lol..

𝟭𝟬. What is your dream collaboration?

No doubt, it would be Ozzy Osbourne for sure . He is my favourite Hard Rock singer of all time ( Dio a close second and rounding out the top 3 Freddie Mercury for best Rock singer) . Ozzy, also always had a great band with playing with him and I love the vibe.
