1. Tell us a little about where you are from and what you are currently doing.
I am from Bratislava - Slovakia (Central Europe) and besides writing, recording & producing music to keep my creative juices flowing I work in HR.
2. What inspired you to start playing and making music?
I have always been a fan of music, I grew up watching MTV and many times while listening to music I told myself oh wow, I wish I wrote that. So I just started doing that. I have always loved writing, and music felt like a perfect thing for me to do because you create on so many levels if you also produce the beats and mix it all together.
𝟯. Who are your biggest influences?
Madonna, David Bowie, Lana Del Rey, Drake, Calvin Harris, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Roisin Murphy, Bjork...there are too many of them.
4. What are your goals in the music industry?
I think what many of us struggle with is getting our music heard. I would love to be seen, to have the platform to share my music with the world, to get feedback, and for people to enjoy what I make and to be able to feel and relate to it. That would be the biggest success for me.
5. Tell us about your creative process when you make new music.
It always starts with a situation - place/emotion/feeling. I do capture it in a variety of ways - either I make the music first to capture the mood or emotion and then I write. Sometimes I get the lyrics and then decide the tone of the record.
6. What is your all-time favorite song?
It's probably Like A Prayer by Madonna. This song is larger than life in my opinion.
7. What is the best advice you have either given or received in terms of music?
To invest in better equipment. It truly makes a great difference - & to be more adventurous and braver when it comes to vocals. I think I am not the only one who ever struggled with hearing their own voice on the record, but hey: even if we don't like it sometimes, we do sound great!
8. Proudest accomplishment?
My song Good Morning taken from my debut album Love Technician was featured in the Spotify editorial playlist New Music Friday CZ & SK (Czechia and Slovakia) and later on to another editorial playlist Spektrum (for local indie music). That felt like dream come true for Spotify editors to like my music and actually for the first time I felt seen and heard.
9. Just for fun! What's been your most embarrassing moment so far?
Very hard to tell as I do not get embarrassed easily - meaning shame is a very foreign feeling to me! :) but music related, probably submitted the wrong version of my track to be part of my album and realized it only after it was released so I had to take it down quickly and wait for a re-upload.
𝟭0. Tell us about your lowest and highest points in music so far.
The lowest points - not having the inspiration to keep going or create again along with feeling frustrated and the high points - the great response from people and when Spotify featured my music.
