This time on the NAS 10 Questions we get to know DjMondo, AKA Alaile Monday Oluwaseyi, professionally known as DJMondo, a Nigerian record producer, disc jockey, graphics designer, pianist, and songwriter.

1. Tell us a little about where you are from and what you are currently doing.

I'm Alaile Monday Oluwaseyi, professionally known as DJMondo, a Nigerian record producer, disc jockey, graphics designer, pianist, and songwriter. I own a small record label (ExecutiveDjMondo Music) and I manage some artists. Am currently working as a Computer Instructor/Music Producer.


2. What inspired you to start playing and making music?

I was inspired by Davido music and his legacy. In the year 2012 when he drop his first album "Omo Baba Olowo" which is a mixture of Afrobeats and hip hop, he inspired me to start making music. I started working towards it by learning how to produce music and have a full idea of what am going into. While am learning, I also started composing my own songs and creating my own beats.



𝟯. Who are your biggest influences?

My biggest influences are Davido, Dj Cuppy, Dj Khaid, Don Jazzy, Olamide and Wizkid. Davido, Wizkid, Olamide & Don jazzy are popular Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer which I enjoyed listening to their music. While Dj Cuppy & Dj Khaid are beyond me being a DJ and also a Music Producer.


4. What are your goals in the music industry?

My goals in the music industry is make wave, to create my own sounds, and get a sponsorship in my music career.


5. Tell us about your creative process when you make new music.

well, when am making new music I usually go through some process which include researching what people are listening to or things happening around me.

6. What is your all-time favorite song?

Young Boy - DjMondo featuring Dakushy, This is song is about all the young ones out there trying their best to survive in the ghetto and be somebody


7. What is the best advice you have either given or received in terms of music?

Well I was told that I should do good music that will speak for me. I was told good music always finds its way to the right audience in the world this was said at a show I attend in the year 2022.


8. Proudest accomplishment?

My proudest accomplishment was releasing my second album title "Somewhere In OJ City" this album consist of Afrobeat, Hip-Hop and Dance. which was also nominated at the Top Naija Music Award twice in Nigeria.


9. Just for fun! What's been your most embarrassing moment so far?

Well it was when I was invited to a show to perform at which was my first thou, it was not as I expected. I was frustrated out of the show because the way they treated me like am a nobody.

Well today, I own a small record label (ExecutiveDjMondo Music) which I manage some artist's and I was regarded as one of the most versatile music producers / dj in Nigeria.
