This time, we get to know CHYDY VIBEZ, an afrobeats artist based in Nigeria. Inspired by his sister, Z-lla as well as artists such as Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage and Rugger, Chydy is a young one to watch.

1. Tell us a little about where you are from and what you are currently doing.
Hi, I am from Abia State, Nigeria. I am a recording and performing artist and I am in my first year of senior high school in my country, what we call SSS 1.
2. What inspired you to start playing and making music?
First, I get my inspiration from my love of music because I love music passionately, then I get inspired by my older sister's music career. Her name is Z-lla and she is also a musician, and finally, I get inspired by our mom/manager's tireless attempts at promoting our music online. She is our number one fan.
𝟯. Who are your biggest influences?
Z-lla, Rugger, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Kizz Daniel and a host of other Afrobeats musicians in Nigeria and in Africa.
4. What are your goals in the music industry?
To become one of my country's greatest music export and to make the world a better and fun filled placed through my music.
5. Tell us about your creative process when you make new music.
First, I write my song and go through it several times with my mom/manager, then she invites our music producer, Macreamy Anthony to my place for a studio session, after the recording, my sister designs a cover art for me (Z-lla is also a graphics designer), and then the song is sent to my Label, OG Music for distribution.
6. What is your all-time favorite song?
My all-time favorite song is every good music out there. I know the efforts that are needed to craft a good music, and I appreciate such efforts.
7. What is the best advice you have either given or received in terms of music?
I have not had chance to give any advice to anyone, but I have received quite a lot from my mom/manager, and the best one is to "never give up". I really don't know when she would ever stop telling us about the stories of great men and women in history, who achieved success because they did not give up. But that's my mom for you!
8. Proudest accomplishment?
When my first song was released and I told my friends and classmates about it. Their joy and the surprises on their faces were memorable. A lot of them joined Spotify for the first time because of me and they streamed the song, tirelessly.
9. Just for fun! What's been your most embarrassing moment so far?
My most embarrassing moment so far was when I took 16th position in class, and my mom scolded me for not reading my books. She has always advocated for me to strike a balance with my studies, my career as an indie artist and my playtime with my friends.
𝟭0. Tell us about your lowest and highest points in music so far.
Highest point has always been my release of a new song, while the lowest is the lack of finance for music promotions.
