𝟭. Where are you from and what is your hobby?
Born in the north of France near Belgium, Now I live in the South Of France on the Côte d’Azur near Nice.Music is first a hobby for me, and Initially I was creating music for myself. Based on the evolution of technology (software, hardware, internet deployment) and as I had the opportunity with the Covid Lockdown to invest time, I decided to learn the musical distribution and share my creation with people widely.
𝟮. How did your get into music?
My music journey started at a very young age, end of 80s, at the early beginning of the House Music & New Beat that we could hear in famous Belgium Clubs. At this period I started with a small computer to produce piece of electronic music, loops, that I used when I Djing with friends during small parties. Then due to other priorities in my life, I put the music production on the side, to come back in 2020 during the first covid lockdown. I invest in hardware, software, and I start to think about a first song to distribute that I named « Departure » as my start in the music production.
𝟯. Who are your biggest influences?
Frankie Knuckles,Mike Dunn,Jamie Principle, are the main artists that I listened in loop during a decade, and still today as references.
4. What are your goals in the music industry?
I would say that I produce music I love. I built my own style, my universe, my own sound signature in the house music genre. As Electronic music exists since decades, and due to the big number of existing Bedroom producers, it’s more and more difficult to differentiate. I’d say that the only one persons who can decide about where I am categorized are my listeners and fans. And you how would you set myself in the electronic music production ? :-)
I love also the networking aspect, exchanging best practices and tips , guidelines, with other artists. After all, if my listener love my music, it's the a pleasure for me that i generated positive vibes.
The sound I use and create, are those that I have in mind before the song creation. Using VST Synth you can create what you want in terms of sound. To use an existing one and adapt it is easy, but to create a new one based on what you imagine is another piece of cake. Without trying to differentiate myself creating new sound, I create sound that I like that I see well seated in the overall groove of the song.
5. If you could choose a location to perform at, what would it be?
Without hesitation : Thailand.
Thailand is a wonderful place where all is easy and possible. A lot of big parties are organized in Thailand like the « Full Moon Party » and « Half Moon Party » on Koh Phan Ghan Island with a lot of great DJ. I already went 6 times in Thailand, and 2 times to these big parties. It’s a special universe, where you can listen good electronic music on the beach or in the jungle.
6. What is your all-time favorite song?
Pink Floyd - Wish you were here. This song is about the detached feeling most people go through life with. It is a commentary on how people cope with the world by withdrawing physically, mentally, or emotionally.
7. Most embarrassing moment?
I don't remind me any embarassing moment. I would rather tell you what was my surprise the first time i sit in front of a DAW and a mixer to see how complicated and how huge are the possible options to perform sound design and good mixing/mastering music.
8. Proudest accomplishment?
Without hesitation, but i have 2 proudest accomplishment, and it's not in music, it's : the born of my 2 children and when i found my wife :-) . But if i need to bridge with music, it's when i released my first song earlier in may last year and where ( after a year of learning in music) i saw appearing on streaming platform and people listened.
9. What is something about you that might surprise someone who knows you the best?
Something that interest me in that moment is how the « world » and mainly the environment will become in the future. We are more and more people on the planet. If we don’t try now to protect and control it, it will become a nightmare for our children. Linked with that, as you can see in my discography, I tried to build a thematic approach for my music. As mentioned earlier, « Departure » is like a start for me in music production. I decided then to produce tracks linked with the four universe fundamental elements. I created « WARM » to represent the fire, « World » to represent the earth, and « Deep Breath » to represent the air.. I have still to think about the last element representing the water to have the complete picture.
𝟭𝟬. What is your dream collaboration?
I have not thought about that question yet as i am trying to install first my music universe, to ensure a footprint in the music industry and differentiate myself. however, if it progress as i think, i would like as a first collaboration to work with Eric Prydz
