1. Tell us a little about where you are from


I am from South Africa in Johannesburg local town Tembisa. I’m currently working on an Album and an EP to be released before an album.


2. What inspired Mega Snupe to start playing and making music?


I was inspired by watching hip hop music videos growing form artist like Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Jeezy, T-pain, Dj Khaled with collaborations and Akon. I was also touched by Michael Jackson seeing the way he was able to touch people’s souls whenever he was performing on stages that captured my eyes at a young age and became enough motivation for me to want to persuade music.


3. Who are Mega Snupe's biggest musical influences?


Lil Wayne and Xxxtentacion are my biggest music influences. My style is Dark Rñb and Hip Hop/Rap and I sometimes hop on Afro Beats. My sound is very Melancholic.

4. What are your goals in the music industry or as an artist?


My goal is to build a successful music career independently with a solid fan base and still be able to survive on a day to day basis doing what I love. My approach with music is to focus on music business and build my own legacy that’ll pass on to my kids for ages to come.


5. Tell us about your creative process.


Most of the time it is based of how I’m feeling I draw inspiration from my everyday life, my thoughts and feelings. I like to stand out and create music that is not easy to forget but ages with time.


6. What is your all-time favorite song by another artist and why?


I don’t have an all time favorite song there’s so many songs that I really love and my favorites always change with time and where I’m at in life. Most of the time my favorite song is the one I relate to the most at that moment.

7. What is the best advice you have either given or received in terms of music?


It’s only a delusion until I bring it to life. I’ve seen great artist who never got to make it regardless of how great they were musically the only distinguishing quality between me and them is that I won’t give up.


8. What is your proudest accomplishment?


Being able to run my own label and try to find balance between my personal life, music career and a job is my greatest accomplishment it is not easy to do but because I love what I do is the reason find a way to make it all work.


9. What's been your most embarrassing moment so far?


Being able to present my brand on the highest level - as if I already made it - but in reality I’m still living in my mothers house in the backroom with a regular job like everyone else’s, working long hours just so I can make some money to get the things I need to build a music business career.


10. Tell us about your lowest and highest points in music so far.


After I released my first body of work and there was no support from where I’m from. Even though they knew about my music and I was broke, with no job and money to do the smallest things I needed for myself on day to day basis.

Nice to get to know you. It's about the music, it shouldn't matter to your listeners that you live with your mother and have a regular job, they should just care about what they are hearing....
